MOVING TO INDIA
The first trip for househunting
The Van Heyningens
They've been here for four years and had a ball, they are now off to Marc's next assignment in Southern Cal
Tony and his children
of course marble everywhere as it is nice and cool, living room here, shutters in the windows to close out the heat and shut in the cool
stairs up to small library and extra large room which will be my studio
large basement room with small terrace
the master bedroom is beautiful, why these are the only pictures I took of it is
beyond me, I think I was saturated with picture taking at that point
Mike just sent some more detailed images of the house
It's being cleaned and refurbished after being tenanted for 7 years so there is a lot to be done
Here's an odd outside view of the house looking ultra-modern and the front yard

Saying Goodbye to the Old House
We've loved this house. It had its problems but it has been such a nice place to live and a great party house. We'll miss it.
SAYING GOODBYE AT THE AIRPORT, THE KIDS CAME TO SEE US OFF
We'd said goodbye to my mom, brother and sister-in-law the day before but Alex stayed the night
at the motel with us in the easy chair and the kids saw us off at the airport. The cats who had sensed something major
coming as the house disintegrated around them took the hotel fairly well and though I'm sure the trip was traumatic, they all did
well. Goodbyes are always teary.
and we're in our new home Midi checks out our temporary bed in the guest room
SARAH COMES TO VISIT AND WE GO TO AGRA AND JAIPUR
Taj Mahal/Agra
two of the many opportunities I had to say "is that it? How about that?"
the real masjid, the other building with the construction on top is not really a masjid as it's facing the wrong direction
it was built at the Taj for the purpose of symmetry
on the road to Jaipur
our hotel in Jaipur
Thai is sure he was meant to be here Sarah is not so sure but there are perks
this is Archana, our housekeeper and cook
our driver Raguraj and his family, he teaches me Hindi language and culture as well
Kiki is happy as long as there is something to huddle under hello little cow
the mali and Suren begin to get the fountain planted the way I've asked
and the fountain is filled and turned on for the first time....oops, we need a new pump....FIGURES!
this one works but is too loud as it's quite old
with some plants for the back terrace on the terrace outside our small library
hello yes I would like a biscuit please that's a McVitties but I'll eat it I guess
Sarah goes back to Houston, I miss her
